China advocates the need for building an international nuclear safety and security system based on fairness and cooperation that benefits all. International cooperation is indispensable to improve global nuclear safety and security governance in the spirit of pragmatism. China is ready to work with the rest of the world to strengthen global nuclear safety and security, so as to build a community of shared future for global nuclear safety in a wider context of building a global community of shared future. China has ratified all international legal instruments in the field of nuclear safety and security and is committed to strictly implementing relevant UN Security Council resolutions. China supports and participates in international initiatives on nuclear safety and security, supports the central role of the IAEA in coordinating international efforts to strengthen nuclear safety and security, and has provided a full range of support, whether political, technical or financial, to the Agency. China attaches great importance to the exchange of nuclear safety and security policies and cooperation between countries, keeping in close contact in this respect with other countries, including Russia, France, the United States, Japan, and the Republic of Korea, as well as emerging nuclear energy countries along the Belt and Road, and has signed more than 50 cooperation agreements on nuclear safety.
